The Compaq ProLiant 1500 server supports both single 75, 100, and 120 MHz Pentium processor on the one hand, or dual processors of 133 and 166 MHz.In order to provide maximum memory, especially for more powerful processors, the server comes with memory located on the processor board itself. The Compaq ProLiant 1500 also integrates the Compaq FlexSMP system Architecture, and also standard 256KB or 512KB of secondary write-back cache. There is also a pre-installed NetFlex-3/P Controller, and multiple expansion slots.
The ProLiant 1500 also integrates Fast-Wide SCSI-2/P Controller, altogether eight drive bays including three removable media bays and five hot-pluggable bays, quadSpeed CD-ROM drive standard, SMART-2/P Array Controller standard on array models, Compaq Insight Manager and Compaq SmartStart standard Redundant power supply upgrade available.
