The ProLiant 1500 supports both a single 75, 100, or 120 MHz Pentium processor, or a dual 133MHz and 166MHz Pentium processors. As the memory is located on the processor board, it gives increased maximum memory on high performance processor boards; and there is a 256 KB or 512 KB of secondary write-back cache.
The Compaq ProLiant 1500 also comes with integrated Fast-Wide SCSI-2/P Controller, eight drive bays including three removable media bays, and five hot-pluggable bays, quadSpeed CD-ROM drive, SMART-2/P Array Controller standard on array models, Compaq Insight Manager and Compaq SmartStart standard Redundant power supply upgrade option.
